JetStress is a utility created by Microsoft to generate I/O load on your server in order to test the stability / performance of your disks before puting your Exchange system into a production environment.
It also has the ability to simulate a specific amount of mailboxes, along with there relative size and message I/O- you then have the ability to measure either the disk performance of the mailboxes, the performance of running database backup and a soft recovery.
