Setting up bonding with LACP using the ip command in Linux

This can be accomplished quite quickly with the IP command if you only need it temporarily:

ip link add bond0 type bond
ip link set bond0 down
ip link set bond0 type bond mode 802.3ad
ip link set enp1s0 down
ip link set enp1s0 master bond0
ip link set enp2s0 down
ip link set enp2s0 master bond0
ip link set bond0 up

and to remove the bonding we can issue:

ip link del bond0
ip link set enp1s0 up
ip link set enp2s0 up
